Best knives you carry?

Small Pocketknife: Vintage Schrade-Walden Jigged Bone Stockman

Medium Folder: Benchmade 940 Osborne

Large Folder: Shrade-Walden Two Blade Folding Hunter

Fixed Blades: Marbles Fieldcraft and a Lee Reeves Hunter in forged 52100

I really don't have much in the way of large fixed blades, except for an Old Timer Deerslayer. But I plan on getting one of the larger Swamp Rats as soon as the feeding frenzy slows down a little.

Small Folder (>3" blade): Spyderco Li'l Temperance Spearpoint, Salsa, Meerkat, and my BM 770 as a dress-up, go-to-meeting sort of blade. Oh, yes, and the little Spydie Cricket that I gave my hoplophobe wife who loves it! Oh, BTW, I forgot to mention two others, my Terzuola/Spyderco Clipit Jr. (C-19) with aluminum scales, and my BF Blue Native.

Medium Folder (3"-4.5" blade): STARMATE!!!, Gunting (yes, I know that it has a 3" blade, but the rest makes it a bigger knife), Chinook (what a hunk of knife that is!), BM 940, REKAT Carnivore and Carnivore Jr.

Big (Mega) Folder: Camillus CUDA Maxx 5.5 (I would have included the REKAT Sifu, but I am leery of it since its maker has sort of disappeared)

Camp Knife: my old faithful Randall Mod. 6 Hunter's Bowie that is now 41 years old and cost me $25 back in 1961. My parents were horrified at spending that much for a knife!

Are swords allowed? I really like my Gladius Hispaniensis with a blade by Angus Trim and hilt by Erik Stevenson as well as my Roman Riding Sword by Patrick Barta at TEMPL in the Czech Republic.

I have had Cold Steel knives and the only ones that have ever impressed me in a positive manner were the San Mai blades, so I cannot speak to the Vaquero.

The 2 I paid the most for, a Pearl Handled William Henry P10 Lancet, and My Custom Bud Nealy Blued O1 Aikuchi.

The best, IMHO, the knives in my EDC rotation,
1970's 2 bladed Queen Serpentine Jack,(keeps the best hairpoppin' edge), I love them old slipjoints from the 20's thru the 50's, the fit and finish were usually pretty good.

AG Russell One Handed Knife, the 2nd one hand opening knife I had to buy. This was also my first wallet knife, this one piece SS handle and utility blade were so thin I never noticed it. I later drilled the handle to pun on a Spydie Pocket Clip.

BM AFCK, and BM 730 Ares, 2 of the finer examples of BMs Design and Engineering Dept.

Spyderco SS Dragonfly, nice size knife in a little package, this knife is a lot lighter in FRN but so much sturdier in SS, it's worth the extra weight.

Gerber Scrimmed Silver Knight, another fine example of Seki Japans quality in the late 70's to early 80's. This knife is a great slicer, the hollow ground blade will cut forever.

Rocky Moser CA Legal Auto, alright, this one I carry, just for the wow/neat factor.

Kershaw/Onion Chive, This knife actually fills in for the Rocky Moser Auto when I don't want to take the chance of losing my auto, but I still need that neato factor.

Berreta Alum. Airlight, This is just a good, all around beater/work knife, this knife has a solid lock up and a nice large blade. The only thing I'd change, is the cut outs on the blade, and if I'm not mistake, there is a solid blade version now.

1. small pocket every day knife - Remington 3 blade slipjoint & Chive
2. medium carry folder - CS El Lobo
3. large carry folder - Sere 2K
4. field/camp knife - Rinaldi L.E.O.

Very small folder: Spyderco Dyad Jr. (w/micarta scale & clip),
Victorinox Rambler

Small folder: small Sebenza, Victorinox Handyman

Medium folder: Benchmade 940

Large folder: large Sebenza, Benchmade 710

Mega folder: don't have any, not really interested

Fixed blade: don't have anything decent, but plan to take care of
that soon

Multitool - Leatherman C3 Juice

Hi all, i love seeing the variety of knives that you all choose to carry for no matter what the occasion.

My choices..

small folder- Spyderco Cricket -I really love this handy little (2" reverse S blade) knife, carry it with me virtually everywhere.

medium folder- Camillus EDC Cuda w/ Talonite -I just fell in love with this knife, usually carry this only in the city/going out with friends.

large folder- Spyderco Endura w/ VG10 -My most used knife as this is the one i use at work or out hunting all the time. This is my 'do everything' knife.

large fixed blade- SOG SEAL 2000 or Buck Zipper -The Buck goes with me on hunting trips where i may be doing some field dressing. I carry the SOG on any other trips where i might be doing some chopping or general utility use.

ps. I'm in the middle of trying to decide on either a Dozier or A.G. Russell for a medium sized all around field/utility knife, any suggestions would be great.

Mine are;

2. Benchmade Mini AFCK M2 (can't stop cutting myself on this thing)
3. Benchmade 710 M2 (awesome, but not sheeple friendly:grumpy: )
4. HI 15" AK :p nasty:p

#3 - the Chimera is as large as I carry
#4 - I usually Carry a Buck 102, a Marples that is about the same balde shape, or (My fav) a Richard Sunderland Custome that was engraved by Adonne (Tiz) Pozzibon

Basically, I'm to the point of carry customs unless I'm in a situation where I think I might have to leave the knife

microtech socom m/a - similar to the elite, clip is mounted kinda high for pocket carry though (but not a big deal)

i really like the MT stuff, they aint cheap, but the quality is present imho

i carry one knife. A Buck Strider. The most I'd ever carry is 2. Maybe one big one small. I don't get these people that carry 4 knives at once. You really have to limit yourself before it gets ridiculous.:)

Best knives that I carry and use? I carry a Chris Reeve Umfaam everyday at work, along with a Victorinox mini swiss champ. At home, I carry a couple of R.J. Martin knives; one is a little Japanese style neck knife and the other is one of the Q30 folders. I also carry a Benchmade AFCK with M2 blade. I'm not going to lie to anyone, the Benchmade gets the most hard duty work. I'm not afraid of using the Martins, but if I am doing something even remotely damaging, the AFCK gets the nod.

Well, my carry knives don't fit into the classifications listed, but I'll go ahead and put them down anyway.

Small pocket knife- Case natural bone trapper, usually carried everyday in my pocket

Small fixed blade- Dozier Straight Personal, carried every day on my belt (can be seen as my avatar)

Other- Benchmade BM43 in a G2 sheath carried occasionally and also a Spyderco Delica, clipped in the inner pocket of my coat.

Here are mine - perhaps shifted a bit in size.

1. Small folder - vintage Al Mar Osprey with nicely aged yellow micarta handles. Still holds a decent edge.

2. Medium folder - small Sebenza. Love that edge! Seems more of a medium than a small to me.

3. Large folder - Spyderco Military. Great blade, great edge.

4. Fixed - the ones I like the most are Randall fighters, but I never carry them. The one I carry is a Grohman #1

Seems like I only carry the "small" nowadays: Umfaan, Robeson Wharncliffe, Swiss Army Classic

Medium (occasionally): Benchmade 705.

My edc is the BM 814 AFCK mini made of M2-Steel.
As a camp knife I use the KABAR USMC, because I can throw it into the mud, chop wood.. without beeing afraid to destroy much money.
