Start at 2:15. Dang it, I love Cold Steel.

We do a lot of cutting on swinging and moving targets like that. It's sometimes kinda goofy looking as the target is pretty unpredictable, but it's a good way to train.
I've skipped off the target before and had it roll up my arm and hit me in the face! eeeeeewwww...

Yeah its a little goofy, but there is a deadly reality behind it too. You just don't see this stuff anywhere else.

i have a counter tac 1 and 2, both are extremely serious concealable self defense blades...i tend to carry the smaller one more though, both are legal in TX..........

Double edged knives cannot legally be carried in Texas, so actually, no, neither are legal in Texas, at least outside your own property.

good to know guys, not sure why i didn't know that. i guess i probably shouldn't have carried my safe maker 1 for the last 5 years.......................
may need to get the smaller safe Keeper to stay legal in Texas i guess(sigh i like that safe maker 1, feels almost as dangerous as a firearm)...

my personal favorite video of cold steels is the ti-lite video...its damned impressive against the ballistic man...

start at 2 minutes in..

I picked up a training tid-bit from some folks I use to train with from TF, We use to train with our MD panthers on various mediums attached to bungee cords. The main one is a soft wood about 4x4x 18 inches, bungee cord top and bottom, other variation have been done, but moving targets sure teach you things fast. It will also tell you a lot about a knife design fairly quickly.

Haha. The Ti-lite video is crazy. I'm still bummed you didn't do a Gurka Kukri test on the ballistic bodies.

Those Ballistic targets are VERY expensive. We got as many as we could for the video but we make a lot of products. To even have one target for each knife would have cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Don't worry though, we have more plans for them :D

Cool and thanks for the reply! I have a suggestion, make a second channel for the "real fans" and film your tests that you usually don't film then upload them. I know they get expensive, the heads alone are at least 300 bucks+ right? I was wondering the other day why you didn't do a GKukri on one of the Ivan heads considering that we at ZGB (or at least most of us >.>) think the KaBar Swabbie is the cat's bananas.
