THE SCRAP YARD KNIFE COMPANY (SYKCO) 1311 AND CHRIS NOE SHEATH ARE SOLD TO FREEHOUSE32, WITH MY SINCERE THANKS.

I am offering an unused Scrap Yard Knife Company (SYKCO) model 1311 with black blade and black Resiprene-C handle, as well as a tough and very well made Chris Noe Leather Works black leather sheath made for this knife, NOW ONLY $300 PayPal Friends & Family or $310 PayPal Goods & Services, your choice. I will pay for insurance and shipping either by First Class Mail or by FedEx Ground in the CONUS only. First "I'll take it" in this thread followed by an email with your name, address and telephone number (just in case any questions arise) will get the knife and sheath. I will respond with my name, address and telephone number as well. Prompt payment is expected.

I was active on BladeForums about 7-10 years ago while I was still working, but when I retired and came back a year ago last August (2015), the system no longer recognized my user name (Mark H.) and password, so I had to re-register and lost all of my old 100% positive feedback and number of posts. To keep things simple and straightforward, I now use my first and last name as my user ID. Please read my current feedback of 8, all positive. I also use my first and last name on eBay (mark_hubbard), where I have 100% positive feedback of 307, not just for the last 12 months, but going all the way back to when I joined on October 23, 1997.
(That is 19 years of perfect feedback as a buyer and seller.) I do not know if you can access my feedback history on eBay directly, but here is the link in case you can: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=mark_hubbard You can go back through all 14 pages of my feedback to see how I deal with my customers. I follow the Golden Rule and treat everyone with the same level of care, respect and service that I expect as a buyer.

In the spirit of the guidelines for selling on the Exchange, which call for the most "pessimistic" description of items for sale, I offer the following observations:
1.) Although this knife is clearly unused and has the original factory edge, it is not particularly sharp. Of course it will cut paper, but so will almost any knife. It seems to be sharpened to cut brush and bamboo. You will probably want to hone it to re-set the angle of the edge. I have not used it to cut anything.
2.) The top of the Resiprene-C handle is not quite flush with the top of the blade, as shown in the photos below. The ricasso will never touch your hand, of course, but if you lie awake at night worrying about a one or two millimeter vertical offset, please don't torture yourself by buying this knife.
3.) The sheath has a few minor indentations that don't show in the photos. It is in excellent condition and has two X-shaped pieces of leather sewn on the back to accommodate regular or upside-down carrying positions.
4.) The snap closure of the sheath leaves a faint circular impression on the Resiprene-C handle.

Those are the only "flaws" I can see.
Otherwise, this is a new knife that has not been available from SYKCO for almost four years!
