(SOLD) 1) For sale- Best Made Standard Hudson Bay Axe, used but in excellent condition. This is Best Made's version of the Council Tool Velvicut Hudson Bay, and is made by Council Tool in North Carolina. It was re-handled at the factory last year after the original started getting loose. The new handle seems to be tightly anchored in place. The alignment, handle grain and grain direction is excellent. The edge is razor sharp and ready to chop with. $85 plus $14 shipping (these axes are $140 plus shipping new). Please note that I will combine shipping if you buy more than one item.

(SOLD on another forum) 2) Hultafors/Hults Bruks Trekking Axe (really a hatchet)- This is a rare Swedish Hultafors Trekking Axe, not available for sale in the US. It is made by Sweden's oldest axe company, and has similar quality to a Gransfors Bruks. It is 15" long and has a 1lb head. I have tested this side by side with with a Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet, and the Hultafors chops slightly better due to the longer handle. It is razor sharp and ready for action. $95 plus $11 shipping (axes and hatchets are heavy so I can't eat shipping on these).

(SOLD) 3) TOPS Brothers of Bushcraft Field Craft Knife- got this in a trade. Excellent knife, but I have far too many right now. It is nearly perfect, except for an area on the front of the blade that got a patina from food prep (these are 1095 Carbon Steel, no surprise there). $83 shipped

I was in for the Hudson Bay, but found this a little too late - I was just looking at the BestMades about a half hour before you posted...

Which Hultafors Trekking axe is it - there are a few different versions. Overall length & head weight would be great, if you've got that info.

PM sent....what color is the handle, brown, black or green on the BOB and is the firesteel/sheath present?
