  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Best method for dismantling without an armorers tool?

Does anyone know if a strider tool will also work on a Hinderer? The pivot looks very similar...

It's different, the hinderer is a lot more narrow. As I mentioned earlier go buy yourself one of these and if you're somewhat handy with a dremel you can make yourself a strider and hinderer tool in one for $5.

I padded it with a rubber lining and then wrapped it with tape so I can just hold the tool against the scale while I unscrew the pivot screw.

Until the day that I have my hands on the holy grail, an armorers tool, I'll have to make do with this -

A couple of stainless washers and paracord.

That I haven't seen yet and that is really cool, a great idea that I may also have to give a try.

Do you happen to own a Lionsteel SR1, or know someone who does? they include a spanner tool that happens to fit just fine. I'm sure other Lionsteels do too, but I only own SR1's.
