As the title reads. Any cold steel Blade in general actually. I'm just getting into knives and picked up a few cold steel blades I really liked. I figured whetstone would be best so I've been practising on some kitchin knives but any advice on the drop forged wasp? I'm not sure how well I'll do on the whetstone with this one with all the curves and what not.

Or do you think it would be easier for a total novice as myself to start with diamond plate/rod? Any advice is much appreciated. Also this is my first post so let me know if i did anything wrong or if this question has already been asked

When sharpening an interior curve (concave / like a U) you need narrow stones or even better a round rod sharpener and take extra care not to scratch the blade up. Practicing on cheap blade first is a good idea.

Awesome thank you! I already found something matching your description on Amazon by sharpal I'll just pick that up.
