The lil native looks sweet! How about the Boker Plus Subcom? I believe the base model is Aus-8, but you can get it in VG-10 as well.
Also, though a bit bigger, the Spyderco Lil Native would be a great choice and is probably better than the Al-Mar in almost every way.
But if it were me, for a small knife like that, the Dragonfly 2 in ZDP-189 would be the number 1 choice.

I love the Dragonfly, but it's a good bit longer than the SLB (around 30% longer blade). The Ladybug and Manbug are much closer in size to the SLB.
While that may be technically true, it really isn't. Much of that "blade length" is in the forward finger choil. And that choil is what makes the Dragonfly a hall of famer in terms of ergonomics and being an incredible small folder.
The cutting edge might not be the full length of the blade, but the 1/2 inch of blade still results in a 1” difference in overall length, which is substantial when the SLB is only 4.5 inches total. The Dragonfly is small, but it’s not really a “micro folder.”

I bought one a few years back to use as a money clip / knife (it was being advertised as such by the retailer at the time) and was very disappointed. It didn't work well as either. The deployment is very stiff and the clip even more so. The aggressive jimping on the spine and the scales give it a ton of hot spots and the 2 1/2 finger grip doesnt inspire a lot of confidence. Adding a lanyard helped with the grip a bit, but it still leaves a lot to be desired.

I like that it was made by a local (Hawaii) designer, but that's about all I have to say good about it personally. It is a unique compact design, and others have had better luck with them, but I cant personally recommend it.
