best modern folder aroune 150?

Get the xl if it's gonna be a user. I had the LW and wish I had bought the xl instead. Bd1 isn't bad, but S30v stomps all over it.

Looking for a 3-3.75 inch folder for about 150, ane i have had just about everything, but am rebuilding the collection.

Mission dictates gear. I've read all your posts so far and you've yet to describe what the knife is for. So far it appears to be more about what other people think you should have - like a fashion statement, what is the latest trend sort of thing. I recommend you state the main purpose of the knife to narrow down specific recommendations.

I have my main edc blade, which is my endura 4. my next knife is more of a splurge on a "cool" piece of gear. No mission at all, just a nicer knife to put in the rotation

Benchwarmer, how do you like the horseman?

I'm loving it. Phenomenal ergos, versatile blade shape, and with a Goldilocks like size.

The only thing about it that take some getting used to is the wave. It is about a mm shorter than the other Emersons I have had so it doesn't catch the pocket quite as well. Still works but it takes a little practice to get the technique down.

Ok, thanks for the input. Will update when i have sharpness on the way

Not sure if you know this already or not, but the regular G-10 Manix 2 is being updated to a Full flat grind S30V blade.

Also, for about 170, you can nab a Domino which is basically the Manix 2 ergos, ti flipper frame lock, bearing pivot, XHP steel.

Zero Tolerance 0566

Perfect size and good steel for EDC. You will not regret it, once you de-assist it.

ZT0200 - You can get these for under $150 - I would say a ZT0560, but those are hard to find if at all at $150 or less.

Benchmade Griptilian - an icon and a great knife for beating around.

Spyderco Para II - one of the best Spydercos I have held.

Of the three, I would go for the Para II, or save up a little more and get the ZT0560.

best

Benchmade 950 Rift
810 Contego
275 Admas
940 Osborne
581 Barrage (and 586 mini-Barrage)
520 Presidio
15020 Bone Collector (the large one)

Wow, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but the spyderco Gayle Bradley is about the best quality that $150 can buy.
the gayle bradley rusts. worse, it has a hole in it! kidding aside, i think the spyderco military will give you the most (folding) knife for $150.

My Gayle Bradley has yet to show any sign of rust. CPM M4 is a pretty hardy steel and only rusts if proper care isn't taken. I'll take it over S30v all day long.

There are a lot of good knife that can match your criterias.... to get a more accurate advise you shall clarify what is your use.

I had the same criterias and I got 3 knives... 1) a spyderco PM2 for EDC, 2) a ZT0350 for outdoor activities, 3) a BM 943 to be used as a gentleman folder

Because I have some very different activities it make sense for me to have different knives.

Having used both the Gayle Bradley and the Benchmade Contego, I would dispute that.
