Best neck knife under $100

1) Camillus Arc Lite, best bang for your buck

2) Boker Bud Nealy - a fellow collector offered me one and hopefully I'll take it off his hands later this year. Very nice knives, excellent sheath system

3) Benchmade 160TK Tether knife - small blade, but it's light, sharp and the sheath is really nice

And lastly, but this is just for info, I had a kydex neck sheath made for a Kershaw Ken Onion Echo fixed blade :D It's fairly heavy, so it's not for everyone, but that's plenty of blade if you ever need it.

Haven't seen anyone mention the Pikuni by Rekat. May be a bit big for those smaller of stature, but at 6'2" and 245 lbs I think it fits me just fine.

You can't go wrong with Newt Livesay for the money.
The REKAT Pikuni is a very stout and well made piece.
I had a Nealy Kinzhal, but the sheath system didn't work well for me.
The Microtech, Emerson, and Benchmade offerings look like excellent choices, as does the upcoming Spyderco/Perrin. The Camillus Arc-lite is nice for the money.

Newt's neck knives are the real thing. Simple, cheap, effective! I have 3.

Also have one of those Boker/Nealy collaborations. The blade is nice, but the handle is terrible. One thing to be thin cause that's good in a neck knife, but it really needs a deep index finger groove or something cause otherwise, you are more likely to slice your own finger off than successfully defend yourself. The sheath is probably the nicest part of this system...

Be happy to sell it cheap if anyone is interested...

Emerson la griffe, cant imagine not haveing mine with me daily!! bottom line, best design ever for defense.

I have to second Crayola's recommendation of Mike Cooper. Mine has ats-34, black linen micarta, ceramic bead blast and a real nice kydex sheath. Price was well under $100.

I will add my vote with Cray's and James. Mike Cooper makes some outstanding neckers. I have several of Mikes knives and have never found one thing to complain about...they are good solid stuff that is worth every penny.

That is a very basic model with skelotonized handle.

This is the 'Mighty Mite'. It belongs to my daughter and has a leather belt sheath. It is however a small knife and I believe offered with a neck sheath option.

Give him a shout at L6steel@aol.com
