After the Krait knife sells out I will have a new knife design. I am
looking for a GREAT name for it. Post your idea. If I use it you will
win a free prototype of the knife. Any ideas? The name does not have to
be in the snake line. It can be about anything in general. This knife
will have a hi tech look and will function for many purposes. It will be
built to perform many tasks and fit in many general categories. There
will be two sizes 4" blade and 3 in blade

Mago

In keeping with your description...it means Wizard in Italian

Hey, if I may... I am new to this forum...
If you would, look at my posts in the "Win a Free Knife" thread in the general section. I put down some good name ideas there that are original and will not make you say "Huh?"
I think I have a couple posts there.

How about:
Flatline or Flatliner

Or how about going with names from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings - they had some cool names for swords and things...

Bilbo Baggins's dagger was named "STING"

Gandalf's sword was "Orchrist" the goblin cleaver.

Thorin's sword was "Glamdring" the foe hammer.

This may be a cool place to start a search for names for a new blade series "hobbit" is of course taken already by Round Eye knives - but they get 50 cool points for originality.

You could go with names of special ops units - the "GSG9" sounds good.

Tiger Raptor Talon knife names have been done to death. You have an original blade it needs an original name.

I kinda liked the fighter aircraft names like the Grippen, Swedens kick @ss fighter... then theres the Fulcrum AKA Mig29... The Rafale is the hottest jet in the ski right now...
You could compair your knives to US jets and and give similar mission profile names... Like for a small agile knife designed to do many tasks - F-18, or a big fighting knife F-22... A huge field/combat knife F-14... that is another place to start a whole series of blades - and invoke some nostalgia for aviation a selling point... like with a classic edge profile the name F-4...

Just some thoughts.

Darrel,

If you like we can create a survey for you if you can't decide between several names. Just pick the names you like the best a Spark will create the survey so poeple can vote on it. Of course you would choose the names that you are comfortable with that way you would be happy no matter which one won.

Best Regards,
Mike Turber

I designed a pair of knives, you can have the names if you like, as I am not a maker...

The best bang for the buck multi-role fighter is the Mig-29 Fulcrum. A good knife in any catagory should be able to handle Multi-Role missions as well.
I call my knives the "FULCRUM FOLDER" and the fixed blade is the "FULCRUM FIGHTER".

Be my guest to the names... the designs, I gave to someone else.
