Best not necessarily BEST but favoriteJigging?

GEC has the prewar old world style and patterns down, but I don't think any production knife company today really does Jigging like Case does.
I really love some of the kind of braided or threaded looking Jigging GEC does which Case doesn't though.

This thread needs pick bone! NYK had some of the best IMO.
It's a shame none of the modern knife companies can replicate it in a cost effective manner.

A few more from Case, excuse the stag in a jigged bone thread!

I don't know what Moki calls this stuff but it's amazing.

Buck used to have some excellent jigged as well, here's some red Buckbone and some brown bone.

Their Buckbone jigging is amazing.

Case has lots of great Jigging, and their peach seed jigging that's consistently good is just classic.

I think this " dark red " is also peach seed jigged, but they don't say.

I really wish this Crandall jigging wasn't worn because it's great before they artificially wear it down and they go way too far on some knives, but they didn't do too bad here.

Great examples, Rob!! Love them all, especially the old pick bone.

I love it all. Some very fine looking knives in this thread!

My favorite jigging is on examples that have been well-worn over time in use.

Just beautiful.

Thanks, Dan, it's hard not to love old pick bone!
Where's the poor jigging here? What a wealth has been shown, proving there's no 'best' only sublime :D

rockman0 rockman0 What a display! I'd never leave the house if I had them 🤣 Truly beautiful examples.

Here's one I like from Canal St. Aberdeen Jigged Bone I think it was called?

Thanks, Will, when I leave the house I look at pictures of my knives on my phone 🙃
That's a pretty Canal St

The thing that appeals to me on the older jigging is how deep and rich they got the dye into the bone, although I really like case and gec jigging I'm sometimes put off by how weak the dye job is.im not sure if it has to do with banned chemicals or what as to why nyk company and Rodgers bone were so consistent.

That's probably it.
I also like how it goes all the way to the bolsters which is less common these days.
