after seeing a post on russian knives,, there were some nice, interesting ones there. i got to thinking since this is a world wide web,
why dont we have a best from each country type of thing,,an no i dont think we should even try for a best in the world ..
seeing the ideas and knives from different countries i think would broaden our views and idea for new knives?
here on this forum i have seen some very nice ones from south america
europe and now from russia as well
what do you guys and gals think?
maybe we could have a gallery for each country?
hope this isa proper place for this post? thanks ..shaker ,,,,terry

I love seeing knives from other countries. I am especially fond of Scandinavian knives and Japanese Kitchen cutlery.

Here is a site called World Knives , they have lots of great production pieces from various countries.

Also, there have been many excellent articles in the KNIVES annuals over the years that feature blades from other cultures, worth looking for if you like this sort of thing.

I think one thread of shared pics (or stories) of Production blades from around the world would be very interesting.

Custom or production?
qs,,personally id like to see customs,,,they are so outstanding,,,but this is just shooting ideas ,,what do you all think ? customs or productions?

now those pics are just what im talking about
i dont like to surf on too many forums,,it just takes up too much time
i like this forum ,,it has tons of great pics,,and discussions
but being canadian,,,when i look at canadian knives(or american),,what i see are basically the same ideas ,,,when you see a knife from a distant place,,,then you can see how the cultural and geographicial distances have influenced those designs differently
