Of all the dozens of knife retailers on-line, which would you recommend, based on lowest prises, fastest shipping, no-hassle returns up-to-date inventory?

Thanks.

I've ordered from 6 or seven of the major knife shops online and have never had a problem with any of their services or products. The only time I had a problem with a knife was a defective SERE 2000 D/A I ordered from PVK. They were excellent about sending me a second one even before I sent the first back, and they covered all shipping. I only order from them now, so long as they have what I'm looking for. Another bonus for them is they send you free knives based on how much $$$ you spend. They make great presents for non-knive obsessed friends.:D

I vote 1SKS (www.onestopknifeshop.com) because they are the ones who run this very forum. Knifecenter.com also provides good price and selection. For customs, I've had good luck with Bladeart.com and Nordicknives.com.

For common items, I like www.knifecenter.com, because they try to maintain real-time inventory information on their web site. It is not always up-to-date, but they do a much better job than most. Also, they have always kept me informed about my order status and let me know when it shipped. I have gotten credit for returns with no problems. Their prices for most items seem to be middle-of-the-road. Very few other retailers meet all of these criteria.

For specialty items, I've also had good luck with other, smaller retailers. One that stands out is Mr. Jensen at www.johnfjensen.com. He is a great guy to work with when ordering discontinued Spydercos.

I usually go to knifecenter.com, just because of the inventory function. It hasn't let me down yet. The prices are good, and the order tracking is great.

But for outstanding service, Bruce at Bullman Cutlery has my vote. Communication is this guy's middle name. He was also able to find a discontinued knife for me when nobody else was able to.

To tell you the truth, there are precious few online retailers who haven't given me outstanding service.

New Graham. They don't carry everything, but if they have what you want they are the place to shop IMO. Great prices on everything, honest and easy to deal with. Mike is great to talk too and always helpfull. Plus you get free bandaids which, to someone who really likes balisongs, is a great thing.

I have not found one "best" on-line knife retailer, just several good ones. Here is a small list of on-line retailers that I patronize and recommend:

1SKS (www.1sks.com). They have a great selection and ship quickly. When I've called up 1sks and asked for a favor they were very accomodating. Prices are competitive (except published prices for Benchmade).

New Graham (www.newgraham.com). Their shipping has been blazingly fast and they included a handy BandAid dispenser in the box.

AG Russell (www.agrussell.com). I don't know why but they sell SOG knives at good prices, in addition to their own line of "traditional" style knives. They also regularly mail me a nice catalog.

I give a very big AYE to Roger. If you look at my location, you will understand the hassle involved in the importing. Roger is willing to save me some money in a roundabout way. He also gave me discount on shipping, when he could add that as his profit.

I also have had good dealings with www.tadgear.com. They are good for a lot of camping and outdoor extreme gears.

It's got to be Josh Burbank at Pioneer Valley. Not only is the customer service good, but he also Q/C's my knives before he sends them out.

If a knife has a scratch, or the knife is hard to open, etc., he sends it back to the manufacturer before I get it. I have NEVER had a problem with this vendor.

Nordic Knives by far.

By the way, I don’t get why some dealers keep such long lists of out of stock knives. It’s absurd. Just trying to fill out space?
