I have been collecting knives off and on since I was given my first pocket knife by my grandfather at the age of eight. In the last few years my interest in collecting has grown to the point of wanting to make my own knives, but that's another topic  I mostly order knives from (( not a paid Dealer )) and sometimes Knifecenter.com. I was wondering if anyone in the forums would like to contribute any online sources that they had found and had favorable experiences with. I'm looking for sources of current production knives and also discontinued knives as well. I look forward to your responses.

We are not allowed to direct one another to specific websites per forum rules. It happens, and sometimes it gets overlooked but asking for "best" smacks of what this forum calls deal spotting...highlighting sales.

There is a subforum here called "the good, the bad, and the ugly" and I believe that if you spend some time in there, the "cream will rise to surface" as to whom you can deal with.

I will say, that my online knife buying experiences have been nothing short of supurb...great service, great people, great knives, and by and large, great prices. I deal with a number of sites. There are some really good ones out there. You'll find them...I did. There are much more esteemed folks on this forum than I who may make a specific recommendation.

From what I understand if they support BF by paying for a Dealer membership, we can mention them by name.

With that said, my first stop for knives and knife-related products is always The Knife Connection.

Search this forum for "Knifeworks" "Knivesshipfree" "(( not a paid Dealer ))" and see what results you get.

GPknives hands down for me. I have only ordered from any other store twice. And it is ok to mention store names as mentioned above if they are supported by bladeforums.

I moved this to FEEDBACK. General Knife Discussion is for discussing the knives, FEEDBACK for deals or dealers.

We have rules against Auction / Deal / Bargain Spotting as a consequence of our paid membership system.

This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care.

If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.

This infraction can be issued as a warning and is worth 10 points towards your total. It expires in 12 months.
