Where's the cheapest place to purchase a Paragon Kiln for heat treating blades?

Thanks!

Are you sold on a paragon? You can get a pretty darned good deal on an Evenheat from Tim Zowada. Check here for his prices.

I think Tim Zowada sells them still for 10% off list price + shipping. Evenheat Kilns that is.

Also, take a look at the sugar creek oven's!!with digital control's they'll very cheap.i cant imagine it getting any easier!

Thanks for all the replies, opinions and links!

I think I may go with an Evenheat now -looks like the power is 2.6 times more than the Paragon. (3120 Watts vs. 1200 Watts). Should heat up much faster. I like the rugged case of the paragon, but I think I'm going with power for now.

I've lately been wanting to get a HT oven also to move up to Stainless. I about pulled the trigger on one of those from Sugar Creek till I emailed them since it was 120v unit and found out it will take it about 2hrs to come up to 1950 degrees. Those that have them is that true and what about Even heat or Paragon in 220v how long does it take them to come up to high temps?

I have a 220V Sugar Creek that is very comparable to an Even Heat. I would not buy a 110V HT oven.

I also have a 24" Paragon that is far nicer than the other two brands.

Evenheat 22.5" takes about 40 minutes to reach 1950 from cold.
