I need some screws, mostly 2-56 and 4-40 with torx drive (or hex). Of course you can find them at most knife maker supply places but do you guys know of a better place (as far as choice and of course price) for large quantities. Not talking 100k here but still a few hundreds of each size and a few different lengths.
Thanks.

If you want titanium check out Lunsford Racing, I've bought a lot from them.

Count, MicroFastener has very good prices but sadly almost no choice in the range I am looking for.
RC Fastener doesn't have Torx which is what I would prefer.
RB Johnson doesn't carry the larger screws I need.
Titanium would be overkill for my purpose.

http://www.fastener-express.com Found this one and it is the most promising up to now. Lots of choice, best prices so far and free shipping on orders over 100$ to boot.

The search continues... Thanks again for your help much appreciated

id check fastnel or other places like that often they can order what ever you need in quantities from around 50 to several tousand.

this place was very helpful to me when I needed to buy one specialty screw that I lost

Thanks guys, I'll check those out.

Count, any idea of what is best between Torx and Hex? They are for my sculptures so a little like folders, they need to be disasembled a million time and once done, I need the strongest possible.

Yes torx are better for that, but if you assemble and dissemble many times, you don't' need to over tighten.

I use new screws on final assembly for perfect appearance.

At that time I did the research, torx was pretty rare.
Hex is still more common.

Ok, thanks, Torx it is then. They are a little more expensive but not that much considering the price per screw.
I also realized that as much as I want a good price, it still just means a couple $ per sculptures so a reliable pace with good service is pretty much as important. Fastener Express looks better and better. I'll put in an order and let you know how I like it.

Thanks again.

ACF doesn't have much choice in the smaller stuff.
Fastener Superstore would maybe work especially since I have a place to ship in the US but the minimum is 5000 screws per size. Way too much.

Thanks again.

I have always ordered 4-40 Torx screws from Mcmaster Carr.
