Best place to get aluminum tubing?

I don't have any local aluminum suppliers (that I know of...or can find).

Anybody got a supplier for aluminum tubing that's a reasonable price?

I guess some of it will depend on the size of tubing you are looking for, but my local Ace stores sell aluminum tubing in a few small sizes 1/4" OD might be the big size. it's in with their brass strips. they tend to forget they have it if you actually ask, but it's usually by their angle iron selection.

And craft stores like Hobby lobby will have some in their model train area.

Can't speak to price comparison, but for something you need quick and without shipping it didn't seem horrible

The mailorder hobby shops sell it for good prices by the ton. I bought a lot before I "retired" and it was a fraction of the cost of the knifemaking suppliers.

Dan, don't know if you have any True Value hardware stores in your neck of the woods, but they sell it.
