I started by trying to cut it off with a coping saw while I had it locked in a vice, that gave up on that noise and just sanded the one side away until I exposed the whole tang and pulled it out. The plastic handles are hard to cut r sand off really but ti does make a heck of a stick and if you do sand one off wear a mask, not sure what plastic dust does to a lung but guess it can't be good.
Think I have some more pictures somewhere but I'll have to root around for them.
ah yes. that makes sense. i have done that with wooden handle replacement. i started sawing it and said, "screw this" and also ended up doing the sanding thing. thanks Peter.
i have a couple mora's laying around. maybe this can be a spring project for me. thanks for the nudge.
