What size knife you looking for?

The Kershaw OD-1 comes to mind. Great little knife.

Non-assisted Kershaw Groove is the best at flipping. As smooth as one of R.J.'s customs IMO.
Available with black or gray scales, in satin, black tanto or spectrum (VIB).
3-1/2" blade, 4-1/2" closed. About 4 to 5 oz weight.

I submit Kershaw Shallot in S110V, but you might have a hard time finding it.

Ti Sg2 JYD2
Leek
Groove
Od-1
All are framelock flipper and under 5oz AFAIK.
The Leek is a great knife and is probably my favorite small EDC I have. It's thin, light, and sleek so it makes for a great light duty EDC.
I've owned an Od-1 that was from a giveaway but I gave it to an aspiring knifenut and he's enjoying it. It's a great little knife for EDC if you don't need anything too beefy but just want a quality knife.
I don't have a Groove, I've heard great things about it though and it's on my radar.
I currently EDC a Ti Sg2 JYD2 and I think it might be my favorite production folder. I've used and liked quite a few great models but my JYD just stands out as being great. It's expensive but I can say with confidence that it's worth every penny.
If you're looking a framelock flipper though I think Kershaw is your best bet.

Email Rick, he might make you a knife if he is doing a batch... that is how i got mine, and it is AWESOME.

ZT 0301.

Don't try this with just any folding knife. ;)

It still locked up like new with zero blade play after this. :D

The nicest non-assisted production flipper I have ever handled is the Kershaw JYDII. Mrs. Tradja likes it as well and she actually just won a JYDII composite at work.

I hope she let's me carry it sometimes, but since I'm a lefty I'll probably leave her alone about it.

I was less impressed with the Zing I owned, though it was lightweight. I own a CRKT M16 flipper as well. :thumbdn: The auto-LAWKS shredded so I can't unload it -- I use it for scraping pipes. Small flippers just don't seem to have the blade weight to open reliably or satisfyingly.

ETA: eh, I guess it's a linerlock and not a framelock per your specs. Sorry. Still, go handle one when you can.

Ti/SG2 JYD II for over $125, and if you're on a budget, the Kershaw Groove. Like 2brothers said, they are incredibly smooth and quick. On the Groove there is a nice G10 overlay over both sides, so you get an extra bit of "grippy" with it. Under $50 at the popular auction site.

My Shallot composite is in my pocket now, and I love it. The JYD is good if you want a meatier blade. But I love the Schallot's ergonomics and the composite blade is a keeper. Got mine here real fast and cheap from kershawguy.
