Best production frame lock flipper?

Does a tip down flipper ever try to open when you pull it out of your pocket?

Kershaw ! :D

Already been said but... Leek and Groove come to mind. OD-1 is also a great choice - a very cool , sleek knife although I'm still a bit iffy on the lockup since it tends to engage less snappy than I prefer. Now if you want a linerlock that is as sturdy as any of Kershaw framelocks , what about an Ener-g ? I have the large sized version , it is a truly wonderful knife ( if you can get past that awful trec grip stuff on the handle ).

There is a production version of Hinderer's famous flipper made by Gerber , I've been awful curious as to the quality.

:thumbup:Yup!

another vote for kershaw. Best production frame-lock I've owned has to be my zdp-ti mini-cyclone(model#1636tizdp). In fact, its lock-up is the best of any frame lock I've owned, including hi-dollar customs. I paid $145 for it and should have bought two or three at that price. You can still find them, last I checked for around $300 or so--well worth it though, IMO.

Not in production anymore, but the Camillus Dominator is a very nice Ti, AO flipper. S30v blade around 3.5"

Hi

Is there a good one with no blade play and good steel?

1- Flipper
2-Frame lock
3- Good steel
4- Production (No Hinderer for me :( )

Thanks

How about a Bradley Alias.

How about it doesn't meet the OP's specifications.;)

2brothers is spot on! The Kershaw Groove (pick your flavor) is hands down my favorite production, frame lock, flipper!!

Non-assisted Kershaw Groove is the best at flipping. As smooth as one of R.J.'s customs IMO.
Available with black or gray scales, in satin, black tanto or spectrum (VIB).
3-1/2" blade, 4-1/2" closed. About 4 to 5 oz weight.

Kershaw has so darn many fine knives that it is hard to pick just one, but I have to agree with 3Guardsman and 2Brothers on the Groove. It has the smoothest pivot action of any knife that I own and the grip just melts into your hand. I think that everyone should own at least one.

I like the Ener-G and OD-1 for low cost high quality flippers. If you got the money the Galyean Pro Series JYD is great also.
