I am looking for a full size axe. I am currently leaning towards the GB Scandanavian Forest Axe. This would be utilized on car camping and short woods trips, so weight is not a factor. I've got an Estwing camping hatchet for small stuff, but looking for something with a little more power.

Thanks in advance for the insight.

GB is generally what's advised. But personally, the next axe I'm getting is a modified Snow and Nealley from Brian Andrews at Off the Map Outfitters. He smooths up the grind, treats the handles, etc... Makes for a VERY nice axe.

Thanks Noshtero. I had seen Brians work on those in WSS I think. I am going to look into one of those as well.
