Best rescue knife/glass breaker

Just got the Benchmade the other day, and they are nice and inexpensive! My seats have nets on the back of them, so I clip one in each of those so if you are in the front you can reach around and get it easily, and for those in the back it is right there in front of them.

I thought of the knives but I always have one in my pocket anyway, and when the kids drive to school lockbacks over 2.5" are illegal!

Keep in mind that spring loaded punches are ILLEGAL to possess in some states.

Do they go around arresting carpenters or other craftsmen that use these to mark/start holes? LOL

Stoopid laws!

The Pro bad boys in So Fl use the ceramic spark plugs and can take out a window without even setting the car alarm off. This was demonstrated to the police who didn't believe the alarm would stay silent.

Wow you sure dug this one up! I'd say you would want to put one inside one of the side compartments in the door. Or maybe in the center console?

I have a Benchmade ERT-1 in the driver's side door compartment of my SUV. It's within easy reach for quick access. I thought about getting the Victorinox, but I wanted a belt cutter with a spring loaded glass breaker (in case my arms were injured in a wreck).

See that little point, it's great for taking windows;)

+1 on the Gerber Hinderer... I carry mine a lot now. Seems to be a pretty well-thought-out tool.

I also like the Victorinox Rescue Knife.

Center sounds good since both passenger and driver could reach it. I didn't really "dig" to get it. It actually came up when I did a google search for rescue knife.

No I meant that it had been un-active for around a year! I think either in the center console or maybe 1 in the driver's side compartment and the passenger's side.
