My buddies and I were playing cards the other night and this came up. After much Nirvana and Pearl Jam talk we decided on "Anemia" by the band Tool. Just wondering what you guys thought.

Yep, tough to pick one.

Off the top of my head I'll say: "Blind" by Corrosion of Conformity

Easy, Nirvana's Nevermind is my pick, and will most likely be the one best remembered from that time.

Aenima, but yeah, that'd be my pick as well. I wasn't too keen on it the first time I heard it, but over the years, it's become one of my favorite albums.

A big decade of music indeed.
I'm going to go with "Obsolete" by Fear Factory.

rebeltf, Edge Crusher is one of my Fave's, no votes for "Appeitite for Destruction"? I'm STUNNED!!! Josh, great minds think alike.

GNR's AFD isn't bad if you're going heavy early (1990) but Metallica's self titled album from 1991 has to be in the running as well...........

Alice in Chains "Dirt" was a great CD, "Temple of the Dog" was good as well...

Stone Temple Pilots was also a great band.

Believe it or not Appetite was released in 1987. Next year it will be 20 years old.... Holy Shasta McNasty.

Just think about it...20 years... a 20 year old album in 1987 was from 1967.

Whoa! You're right! My CD liner notes list it as an October 1990 release but I distinctly remember Jim Carey lip-synching "Welcome to the Jungle" in the fifth Dirty Harry movie - The Dead Pool - released in 1988.......Wikipedia shows the same under GNR's early history. Appetite's out of the running.

Pearl Jam. Ten. Not a bad track on it. Sadly, their later output was not good. Aenima was a great album, but Ten was better.
