So the only sharpening service I know is of Apostle P on youtube, and I was wondering if anyone knew of another sharpening service that you would recommend. Thanks in advance!

If you have a benchmade all you have to pay is shipping and I think spyderco does the same .don't quote me on that

I'm sorry for being more specific in my original post, but I meant a third party service that I can ship multiple knives of different brands and he/she will get them hair shaving sharp.

Your best bet is to get a Spyderco Sharpmaker, get ultra fine stones and learn to do it yourself. A strop is handy for that super duper decapitate in one swift move sharpness. However, I have seen people here on the forums that do sharpening professionally, but I can't recall any of their names at the moment.

What would you consider a good rate per knife? The rates for this apostle p is $20 for any folder under 5 inches and for extra $5 he cleans and lubes the knife properly. I consider these prices a tad high, which why I ask on here for more opitions.

I wouldn't necessarily trust someone I don't know to sight unseen clean and lube my knives, as some knife companies void the warranty if they are disassembled, and how can you know if this guy does that or not?

I can handle it for you. From Pocket knives, Machetes to fine Japanese culinary knives.
Email or call me if I can help?

I'm curious about Richard J. I know he had some health problems back in 2013 and it looks like he hasn't posted here since April of this year. Does anyone know if he's okay?

Talked to him on the phone about a month ago, sounded weak and said he was still recovering, need to give him a another call

Learning to sharpen a knife is part of owning them. It's like buying a handgun and needing someone to clean it and reload it for you.

I will second Daniel's recommendation of Josh at Razoredgeknives.com. He uses the Wicked Edge Pro system and can give you an edge that factories can only dream of.

I heard Cakes072185 knows what he's doing
