Any folks care to share what you use for a sheath for this approximately 4" folder? Leather, nylon, whatever. Belt carry, pocket carry, jacket carry, makes no difference. If you have the source and rough price that's fine too! Personally, I'm most fond of a pocket slip with no clasp closure, in leather or even nylon.

Note that if it fits the Case 6347, Schrade 8OT, or similar sized knives that works too.
Thanks, S&D

I hadn't considered it for my 301. But in seeing your post, I immediately thought of a leather slip pouch I use for a pocket India stone I use. Got it through A.G. Russell's site. Size-wise, I'd think it would be a good fit for a Buck 301 or similarly sized knife. The picture below includes the 4" India pocket stone seen in the slip. The leather is soft and feels like good quality - a very nice feel in the hand.

As far as I know, I think A.G. Russell's site is still a sponsoring vendor here. I'm posting a link below to his page with details of the pouches they sell, in various sizes. I'm pretty sure the one I have is the medium size, for knives up to 4-1/4" or so. Their 'small' pouch is spec'd for knives up to 3-1/2".

This was exactly what I was hoping for… ordered one! Fair price indeed. Thank you for the link David, my kind regards!

Very glad to hear. I wondered if maybe the small size might also be adequate for the 301. After I'd posted here yesterday, I tested the fit of my medium size pouch to my 301. It's pretty good, and the pouch could likely accommodate a somewhat larger knife at that.

Hope it meets your expectations when you receive yours.

Back around 2009-10 Buck sold the Charcoal Dymondwood 301 with a leather slip. It looked pretty good, but I've never held one. At the time, you could call the Buck Factory store and order them.

Nice! Im also going to look for one of those… on the pre owned market of course
