Best software to convert CDs to MP3?

I'm not the most experienced in this area as I only recently got an IPOD. I converted all my music to MP3 at 192 kbps and honestly it sounds great to me. I used MP3 so that my girlfriend can transfer music to her MP3 player since it doesn't support AAC.
Itunes was quick and easy to use and I still have more room on my IPOD for music I have yet to acquire.
