I have a brand new heat treating oven on back order. Hopefully that will change some time this year. When it does the canola is getting used to start the bbq. I want to get some real engineered oil, a fast and a medium. Since shipping is a big chunk does anyone have a suggestion for best place near NYC? If I get the 50 what should I get for the medium?

Also I know some.guys are using big ammo cans for pails. Do you guys have any ideas about something big enough for 5 gallons?

Go to American Compressed Gasses in Bardonia on Rt304. Ask them if they have any out of spec cylinders big enough for what you want. They will probably just give it to you free of charge. All the ones I have gotten from them were free. Then use a cut off wheel in an angle grinder to lop the top off. Weld on a couple of rebar handles and you are good to go.

I know you said NYC, but a lot of makers have been going through Maxim Oil out of Texas, regardless of location. Last time I bought oil from them, their prices were lower than just about any other suppliers, even after shipping was added.

If you still want something closer, you might look at McMaster-Carr. They have an 11 second quench, and a 28 second quench, if I remember right.

If you're in USA, it's a real deal.
It comes down to the people at that location wanting and knowing how to to fill our niche needs
They ship it all over.

Parks 50 is a fast oil.

Parks AAA is slower

You can get all the technical specs from there
