Hi, i am looking for a good online delear that sells Spyderco blades. I live in Canada so i am screwed for the local retail store. :( They never have any instock. :( Which dealer has the fastest turnaround time? descent shipping charges to Canada. I know i will still have to pay the extra tax at customs. :(

It sucks living in Canada when it comes to buying anything on the Internet, doesn't it? I'd be interested in info on good knife dealers that ship to Canada (or are in Canada - found one that was VERY overpriced) ... not only Spydercos though, anything.

TIA

Hi K WIlliams,

There prices are very high. They are like 20% higher than the local store that sells them. Too bad the local store doesnt have any of the models i want.

Might I suggest these guys....

http://www.knifeworks.com/

Usually 1-2 weeks delivery time(depending on Customs). Reasonable shipping charges, good assortment and prices on Spyderco products.

I'm considering the Delica and Endura myself.

Leemah1,

There prices are pretty good. I am going to order the Lansky Deluxe Sharpening set, Spyderco Endura, Spyderco Delica, and the Massad Ayoob. They Ayoob is only $59.99. They once retailed for over $120. That is a bargain.

Okay fellas,

I'm going to give away my best kept secret: www.eastcountyguns.com

It's single proprietor business out of Washington State run by a guy named Andy. He has unbelieveable prices on a lot of his knives. The shipping to Canada is kinda high ($12 US) but his low prices make up the difference. He's a no-nonsense guy so don't f*** around with him, or else it will be like the "Soup Nazi" but "No knife for you!" He's a good guy, just a bit tempermental. I bought my Spydie Police from him.

Okay, now I'm going to be really P.O.'d if he's sold out of my favorite knife the next time!

BUT Before buying from anywhere check with 1STOPKNIFESHOP to see if they won't match it since:

1. They do have a little known price matching policy and have given me good deals on knives in the past.
2. It will support BladeForums which we should be doing anyway.
3. They have excellent service.
4. Highly reliable.

If they don't stock the item, or they can't match it then by all means go to eastcounty or whereever.

Funny, FTC, that guy's site crashed both mozilla and internet explorer.
I highly doubt his price can compete with the Texas Connection. Musky Hunter should know by now about it.

I checked out East County and he seems to have good prices. I am not familair with the Texas Connection, anyone clarify?

Strange. I checked before I posted and his website was up, and just tried it now and it worked. I'm using IE 6.0. May I imply that it could be a problem on your PC or your ISP's end? Sounds like a routing problem like a downed link rather than the guy's website.

Examples:
- Down DNS server somewhere
- Bad "route" cached on your PC or a incorrect tables on a router on one of the "hops".

Try going to your DOS prompt (in Windows 9x), or to the command line (Windows NT, 2000, XP) and type in: ipconfig /flushdns.

As for his prices, they are like anyone else: it is great on some stuff, and not so great on others. You may want to reserve your conclusions until after you see his prices. For example, does Texas Connection sell Microtech SOCOM Elites for under $140? He does, and they're in stock the last time I checked. How about a Gunting for $97? Those are lower than most closing EBAY prices I've seen!

www.srknives.com
aka caledon2 on ebay
Ontario seller, best price in Canada, service on par if not better than WW, inventory not as rich as WW.
I've personally bought dozens of knives from this guy, has no issues what so ever.

Those two are the only dealers I buy from in Canada.
With caledon2/S&R knives being my go store, because they are close and have next day delivery at no extra cost
But if they don't have something I want in stock I'll give jay a call over at warriors and wonders.

Both 100% stand up dealers!

hey check out warriorsandwonders.com as far as i can tell they are canadian and only ship to canadians, pricing is great, but they only accept paypal.
