Best spyderco for its price?

That's a tough one. Most all of the production models offer great value, when you look at the streetprice (Byrds are a GREAT value, but I'm not sure I count them as an actual Spydie because their warrantee isn't as good as the Spyderco Warrantee). I got my Endura for $42 just because of the value, it's a well built folder with a premium steel blade. The Native I bought was another screaming deal, an S30V knife for under $40. When you look up to the Military, Manix, and others in that class, I still think they are a bargain when you look at the materials, performance and price. I can't think of any competitors to the Military or Manix that offer the same level of fit, finish, materials, and performance for close to the same price. I can't think of any other manufacturer who offers so many great and diverse working knives for such reasonable prices.

I am happy with my Endura 4 myself, I was just wondering what other people thought. Also what higher end models do you prefer?

The d`allara drop point is unquestionably the best deal at Spyderco. Here's way. It's 55 bucks, has beefy dual full steel liners, a great ball bearing lock, a VG10 blade, one of the best actions out there, some of the grippiest FRN available...
It's the budget manix.

I'm sorry folks but I've just got to rock the boat on this one. I think that the Yellow handled TASMAN is a really versatile, special knife for it's price. Also one that is super for the price but when they are discontinued they will rocket and that is the Impala.

And for something really heavy duty you can't beat the 80mm Manix. OK I hope I didn't make too many waves :D

Salt I. There's nothing like it out there at any price, except maybe the Atl. and Pac. Salts. And the Delica 4 Wave.

I’d say the Endura 4, but the salt knives will out last them by hundreds of years in a wet environment. if you're by the sea, it’s a salt. If not, the E4.

edited for spelling

I use to say Endura/Delica, but after carrying a Stretch for a week, my vote goes to the Stretch.
:)

Blades

Native or Delica. They cost about the same, about the the same size. Both blades made out of very good steels. Native made in Golden, Delica in Seki.
If you can try them it will be good. I have both knives and I know that many people prefer Delica, but for me Native much more comfortable and I love finger choil on Native.
So my vote for NATIVE.
