Best Spyderco for under $60?

My USA made Native was under $60 and I really like it. I'd get another in a heartbeat...

I think ive narrowed it down to 3... the ukpk, the centofante( have any of you had experience with this?), and the delica... or the endura if I don't get a delica. I am mainly looking at the ukpk though. Are these as good as they look?

I prefer the delica by a large margin. I prefer having a lock, and unless you are talking about the g10 s30v ukpk, the delica has better steel in my opinion.

in deffense of the native i dont think it was ment for carboard.. but the outdoors / wood.
The delica is a great knife. Its on of my favorite edc blades. I don't have an endura but I suspect that its just as good as the delica. There is also the native FRN which is also a good edc knife except that it doesn't slice very well and really struggles with deep cardboard cuts.

Another vote for the Native!
I love my Native and how it has just about a perfect grip. Although I wouldn't chose it for cardboard as has been previously stated, it is great for just about everything else and is extremely tough. Really amazing how much bigger this knife acts than it actually is!
Try one in hand before you choose!

I've carried a lot of Spyderco's but I keep coming back to my white FRN Endura more often than not. It's just such an easy knife to pack around.

I really enjoy the frn UKPK's. I was a bit unsure about the CTS-bd1 steel at first but I'm diggin it so far. It gets insanely sharp and take a very nice polish and holds that polish for a good while. I think I still prefer vg10 (Endura and Delica) But the bd1 is close.

Here's an old pic of mine.

I use my Centofante 3 every day. Insane slicer, very sturdy. To me it's the best compromise between a thinner knife and a one-handed opener with a pocket clip. I've been trying to justify getting a Para2 like everyone else, but it just won't have the same slicing capability. I think a lot of people that buy more modern knives want something that will take more abuse without thinking about how much abuse a thinner knife can take. Short of prying, they're all doing the same work; cutting. The market reflects this "need" for thick knives. Try the Centofante, I'm sure you can find it somewhere for less than $50.

Also I'd like to add that I put this knife through the paces daily on top on menial tasks. Meaning I use it for literally every cutting task. After a day of using it, I'll run it over an extra fine DMT stick a few times and it's back to hair shaving sharp. All I can say is that if you want something that goes through material like butter, grind and steel should be considered, but so should the thickness. 2mm thickness is hard to find when paired with quality steel, one handed opening, pocket clip, and great aesthetics. You can't go wrong at all.

You can get a Endura for around $58.00, great slicer on the slightly larger side for edc, but carries so light you won't really notice it in your pocket. They are well made and can handle any reasonable use.

I too really like the look of the Centofante III! Should be an amazing slicer!
I have seen a few on ebay where the little silver spyder has fallen off and really would not like that if that could happen pretty easy.
Also, since I have never had one in hand how slick is the handle? doesn't look like it has tons of traction.
I haven't been able to find one less than $55 without shipping. Any hints where I should be looking?

Don't forget the Cat. It is a very nice little liner lock.

I have an S30V FRN Native, which I use every day. It's very useful, though for cardboard you need to make sure that you don't penetrate to the flats. The swedge to tip part of the blade works best for slicing, since the flats tend to bind in anything that squeezes the blade.

I think I may have narrowed my choices down to the FFG endura, and delica, But if I got a good deal on a native or centofante, I may take it.
