Best steel, blade shape and grind for a lazy knife user?

My question has nothing to do with knives, but I have to know, what is a saveloy?

A saveloy is a type of sausage popular in northern England. It is most like a big red rubber skin hotdog made of turkey and snouts. Best thing to have draped across a good tray of chips! They are slowly cooked in hot water as not to burst the red skin. But my localish chippy fries them and they go crispy..dude..so good.

Ahem..my obesity aside, I think full serrated would be worth looking into.
 
Or you could just buy a high end steel that holds an edge longer and buy a work sharp to sharpen it occasionally in seconds
