Best Tanto Blade in Folder?

Benchmade Griptilian Tanto in 154CM with the Axis Lock. It's better than anything Cold Steel/ CRKT offers.

I have no experience with CRKT. But I've carried a few Cold Steel knives, including tantos, but especially the Vaqueros.

Those "light, thin, and crappy-feeling" handles will hold up under heat, cold, damp, sweat, grease, and still grip well, don't crack after years of real work, and even the big knives are light in your pocket.

I got a 5" Gunsite to match with the 5" Voyager clippoint I had, and the Gunsite blew it away. I nearly lost fingers closing it, that big blade swings down fast, and it's way too sharp to get careless like that.

We are talking about bang for the buck here, or I could recommend the NICA tanto Sebenza I carry, too. Or the Strider SnG tanto. But that's not what this thread is about. LT can take a long walk off a short pier for all I care, but the knives he sells will hold up. Don't let the fact that they are inexpensive scare you off. :)

Why do you think that a 3.175 millimeter thick S30V blade with tapered point and high hollow grind will be stronger than a low saber-hollow ground one with non-tapered point made from AUS8 in 3.2-3.3 millimeter thickness?

I also can't understand, why do you recommend a 400$ knife for someone, who is obviously in the market for something under 50 bucks.
The question was the best tanto folder, and the NICA Sebbie IS the best tanto folder in my opinion. And there was no price point mentioned. I do not like CRKT OR Cold Steel knives.

I have the CRKT 3" M-16 plain edge 8 AUS.
I have used it on a couple of camping trips.
It has a very substantial feel to it, and it held its edge well.
I am very pleased with it, and I paid less than $30 for it.

If you have big hands the 3" might be small.
