Best Thin Profile Bladed EDC?

Spyderco Centofante sits right at 3", and it's pretty thin from spine edge, and in overall thickness. Same thickness as a Leek.

Other than that I'd look at some slipjoints.

Great idea. I forgot about my centofante. It's been packed away for a while. Super thin and light great choice

Another vote for the Centofante III. Hard to beat the price too.

Of course there is always Victorinox and Wenger SAK's. Some of their single blade offerings have relatively thin blades.

Kershaw Chill hands down.

I have this and the Zing, and the Chill is just what you are looking for:cool:

It's hard to beat a full flat grind Spyderco Delica. I have the G10 version. Thin blade, nice slicer.

Thanks for all the great suggestions Fellas. I think I am down to the FFG Delica, the Centofante and the Skyline at this point. I have a Sport Chalet local that carries the Skyline and may just buy it there if I like it:). If not, I may just go with the Centofante for it's unique look.

Does anyone really get bothered by having to manipulate a lockback vs. a liner lock? I have been able to figure out the one hand close with my old school Delica but it is not a smooth process.

Brocket, I pulled out my Kershaw Skyline and RAM. Both of them have practically the same hollow grind blade, so if you're wanting another possible choice, take a look at the RAM. It's also 10x more fun to mess with than the Skyline, and is constructed much better IMO. Kershawguy has some RAM blems (not a blemished knife, at least in my case, just old stock. The blade is dated 2006.) for sale for a great price.

Edited a picture of some of my knives to give you a comparison. The angles of the pictures were a little different, the Skyline is actually a TINY bit longer end to end than the RAM.

Best forlders that come to mid are the Benchmade 530, Spyderco Centofante 3 and Spyderco Stretch 2. All nice a slim to carry, with a wicked, thin and sharp blades.

All those choices would be great slicers. I've got a Centofante 4. It's a Wharncliff style blade and is a great slicer as well.

As far as closing, most every locking device I use gets disengaged and then I lightly press the spine of the knife against the side of my leg as I slide my fingers out of the way of the blade. Then it's a quick slide back into my pocket. Smooth, quick and easy.

CRKT Ripple (Eros is even better, but it is around $120). Framelock designed by Ken Onion; IKBS; 2,5mm thin blade... Normally I wouldnt reccomend any CRKT, but they should be much better quality than most of their production.

Opinel is THE slicer...
Caly 3 is a good option...

Not suggesting this one, but just to tell...
I used my new BM741 to slice the Christmas Turkey and woooo... This is a real SLICER !!!!

If you want a knife with an overall slim profile, look toward the Leek. If your main concern is the blade thickness and cutting ability, look toward the FFG Delica. It definitely beats the Leek in cutting ability.

There are few knives that will out slice the FFG Delica. Off the top of my head, I can't name one.

The Al Mar Ultralights are great slicers. They have FFG blades. Fit and finish are excellent.
