Best titanium frame lock under $250

Under $250 and full ti I would have to go ZT0801Ti and ZT0460TI. The 460TI would have never been on my list a few weeks ago, but once I started carrying one I was really impressed. If you can expand the budge by $30, the ZT0562TI is incredible!

I’m actually embarrassed that I didn’t call out the Megalodon, as well. Still the best action of anything I own, great ergonomics, and the M390 blade is ground to cut.

I’ve seen a couple of ZT0562Ti on the forums lately in the $225 range. Or if you don’t care about full Ti and want to spend $10 more you can get the ZT0562TS sprint.

Kizer Ki4423. Smoothest opening folder I've ever owned, great ergos. My most ergonomic frame lock as well. ZT 0095 is great too.

I agree, this one has been highly rated by several popular Youtube knife reviewers.
I don’t understand why it never gained any real traction here at BF. It’s a robust build with an M390 blade and it flips like a dream. My only guess is that it not having a “top name brand” pedigree or a currently stylish CF presentation side scale have kept it out of the spotlight. Those points aside, IMO it’s a classic of form and function for what I think is a reasonable price.

I know I'll sound like a hypocrite after saying what I said about zt and their blade stock and grinds but yesterday I was in the local army navy store and handled a zt 0393 glcf and I had to take it home especially after they gave me a good deal on it. The ergos and that glow in the dark carbon fiber are what sold me on it, and while the blade is pretty thick it is still thinner behind the edge than the 0450. Plus kershaw/ZT's new working finish (a heavy stonewash) is pretty cool.

Great choice. I love those glow in the dark CF scales. I wish they added it to some of their smaller knives (I wish they did that with the new 0022's) because I prefer knives under 2.5", but I do have two 0450's (I love that knife), but that's as big as I'm willing to use as my EDC.

Are they still making these?

This is a great suggestion. The tr3 integrity is approaching Sebenza in quality.

I hope they still make them. I’m on the “email me” list for one at one of the online stores. Seen a few coated blades in stock but I want satin finish. They look like great knives to me. It would be my luck they don’t make them anymore though.

You might want to send protech an email. If you do please get back to me and let me know. The knife is outstanding and I highly recommend it.

Massdrop buc. $115 has never bought me so much. I’m not a pro frame lock, or even knife guy, but my goodness this is a beautiful knife.

IMO for the price, you cannot beat a ZT 0452...they have great blade steel, several different varieties have been available, and best of all they are some of the smoothest ball-bearing knives at any price....not to mention free lifetime sharpening. They are a little big for some people’s tastes but they carry smaller than they look and if you have larger hands I think it also has one of the best grips of any knife....I love em, I have all the versions except the 0452cfM390blu......someday :-D
The 0450 line is great too, basically a scaled-down 0452.
