It's always a pleasure to see pictures of your work. You're one hell of a craftsman.

My tool knife is probably my Spyderco Chaparral Lightweight. Very efficient cutter that offers good precision and is just big enough to fill my hand for longer cutting jobs. I carry a lot of other knives, but it's probably the one I cut with the most.

Spydercos and Chris reeves are my most used knives for actual cutting work. Nothing is much better imho.

I have an old Buck alloy blade knife that used to reside in a tackle box. It sits on top of the garage fridge for breaking down boxes or whenever I need a knife in the garage or outside.

Thanks for the kind words. Should've mentioned I started leatherworking with a Case trapper but that was a loooooong time ago.

My Smock Knives SK23. I find wharncliffe and modified wharnie blades so useful. Combine that with Cpm 3v that holds its edge no matter what I put it through and I’ve got a real winner here! I use the tip constantly doing crafts with the kids, or cutting material to make micarta amongst many other projects. Last summer I had to cut a bunch of thick industrial power cords off a bunch of appliances and my SK23 was all I had with me so I put her to work. Needed to be resharpened after that but other than that no worse for the wear. That’s the only time I actually resharpened it, I’ve gotten away with nothing more than touchups on the Spyderco Doublestuff otherwise since I got the knife 3 years ago. And I use it a lot, and I’m not shy about using it hard.
I’m very curious to see how the Spyderco Smock will compare when it arrives...

Mod please change to the lol
They don't seem to want to do that unless you click on "Report" at the bottom left of your post.
You can correct the title your self; looking up at the the title on the right side and you should see "Thread Tools", hold your arrow over it and the pull down should contain "Edit Title" . . . click on that and you will hold the power once again . . . master of your realm, conqueror of . . .
well you get the idea.

For cutting stuff no knife I have had is as good as these Case-Bose knives they’re so wonderfully ground extremely thin behind the edge 38763972-29FA-4350-8B8A-25F77ABFDD85.jpeg BE737233-45BE-417F-9B79-3FF81219CCA8.jpeg

Are you asking about our favorite non-EDC knives? Or just which knife works best as a cutting tool for our uses?

I recently used this photo already, but it works here as well. Next time I put them to work I’ll try to nab a better one. The mini Ritter is my knife that I use for everything and anything. It’s been in my pocket for a few years now and it looks fantastic for the use I’ve put it though. With the stock scales and stonewashed blade, it hides it’s age well.

The Fayette is it’s companion and the newer of the two. It gets the easier jobs, like the apples and clementines. Or if I want to do a real precise cut I use the Fayette as well. They both cut like the dickens, my fingers can attest to that, but the straight edge and needle tip makes short work of just about anything.

That’s a tough question for me as I use several for several different tasks in my daily routine.
Sometimes I need a smaller slim blade to get in to tight spaces or making more delicate or precise cuts. Other times I need a stout blade with size to make more efficient work of the job. My 303 cadet covers about a third of it and my large Vantage Pro about a third. But surprisingly my Leatherman Wave does about a third and not just cutting but 18 on board tools makes for a lot of tasks both at work and off duty time. I don’t use the knife blades other than scrub work/ dirty work where I don’t want to use my good blades. So because it is a tool I use a lot it has become one I miss if I don’t have it with me and if I forget my knife I still have the blades on my Wave. Now if you had asked about a knife then I’d probably say the 303 with three blades.

Dear lord I messed the title up and dont know how to change it. Mod please change to the lol

Go to the opening post. Directly above it on the right is "thread tools". Mouse over that and a menu appears. Click "edit thread". That gives you a popup where you can change the title.
