Best "tool" knife you use thr most

Knife that gets used the most? Whatever I am carrying on any given day. Lately it's been a Buck 110 with 5160 blade steel. For a fixed blade it's mostly a TOPS Skinat in 1095. For outdoor work, a Becker BK-4 Machax or a Newt Livesay RTAK.

This one gets a lot of action

Your hands look almost as bad as mine. Nicr knife

For most of my adult life, it has been this little Anza. Cutting sausage or cheese, scraping gaskets, making tent pegs, opening cans, opening frozen car doors, cutting fuel line, stripping wiring.

Not too long ago, I got an SCH55 that I am fixing to press into service. In recent years, a Hultafors GL has done most of the car doors, but never on the vehicle I carry it in, for obvious reasons.

Lately a Victorinox Champ Plus or Super Tinker have been added to my new 2 knife EDC.

Has the little Anza been a good one for you? edge retention decent?

It has been a good tool for me. For most of the time I had it, my sharpener-fu was weak. I could keep it sharp enough to do what I needed, but knowing what I know now, I realize I never was able to get it really sharp.

Now without a lot of effort I keep it sharp enough to shave arm hair. My sense is that retention is ok, not great, but I have subjected this edge to a lot more abuse than usual, too.

Well, I got to post #6 and saw his 2nd pic and realized that this was Dave Ferry of Horsewright. You just cannot miss his work. His outstanding leather-work and his very large line of gorgeous fixed blades just blows my mind.
I looked at his pics and forgot what the post was all about.
