I like the 5 inch Toothpicks, but I also really like the 4 inch GEC's
The 4 inch GEC is a great using knife and doesn't shock people too bad when you bring one out to open an envelope or cut up your steak. And it's more user friendly to clean your finger nails with because you don't have to choke up on the blade so much, and they have good stiff springs, which I like in a slip joint, at least a 6 or maybe 7.
I found one Schatt and Morgan 5.5 inch Toothpick at AG's back awhile, and I liked it a lot, but the spring was much too weak for that big a knife, probably a 4 in my opinion, Too easy to close. I did purchase a Queen 5 inch with the Zebra wood and D2 blade. It had about the right spring tension, but took me a hour to re-cut the grind on it, to decent bevel to make it sharp enough to suite me. I like it fine now, though.
