Best type of (non-online) place to get a great deal on a knife?

I check out antique stores , pawn shops...

A local pawn shop does the craziest thing. They have a bunch of junk with high prices , and then they will have a good knife cheap. Its like they dont know what they are worth. I bought an old BUCK pocket knife in box. Never been used for twelve dollars.
