What could you possible hope to accomplish tactically with a sub 3 inch folder??
A nation was forever changed with 1" box cutters. And I have direct knowledge of someone killed with a 2" cheapy gas station folder. Skill, luck and motivation matter most. JMO.
Feeling a bit ignorant of my history here -- but what does the "1" box cutters" part refer to?
I wouldn't even consider a big folder "tactical". The only thing I would consider tactical, is a full sized, fixed, full tang, fighting knife. What do you need a tactical knife for? If its self defense, you are lucky enough, if you have the time to draw your fixed blade, don't fool yourself. If its box cutting, everything you like will do that. Browse through Cutlerylovers, Nutnfancys, Wealljuggleknives, etc Videos, you will see a lot more knives and honest reviews, than we can write down now.

My vote(s) go for the Spyderco Dragonfly 2-1/2" blade, or the Benchmade 2-3/4"(?) Mini-Griptillian.

Just how tactical are you looking to get? Gut hook? Reverse tanto? Blood groove? Striker pommel? Saw capability? Skull logo?
