Ok, so it's not an auto. Well, too late, I've already ordered a Starmate. But of course I might consider it in the future when my wallet has recovered

Am I blind or is there no Benchmade forum? Why?

Congratulations for choosing Starmate.
You cant beat the round hole. Starmates lock is the best linerlock in a production knife IMO.

Thanks Tommi. I've found the Benchmade forum now. Not blind after all, I've only been looking in the wrong place.

By the way, Shmackey, I saw a picture of the BM 550. Really interesting. Might very well be something for me. I like it better than the other axis lock models at least from what I can tell from pictures on the net.
