Best way to add grip purchase to a VTAC?

Oh it will penetrate if it lands correctly. I am not disputing that. I am saying it won't stop the attacker in his tracks. Only in Hollywood can you drop a man with one hit from a hawk.
 
Thats true, and it's good odds he will now be angry and have your hawk in his hands.
And you would be darn lucky if he attempted to throw it back at you instead of coming at you with it.

I just dont see it. If you are breaking into my house at night and I hear you coming and hit you in the head, anywhere on your head, with EITHER end of the VTAC or the Sibert or the CQC, fact is - YOU ARE DONE! end of story. anyone who can get up after that, I am afraid of.
 
The key word is "if" there. I would never throw my hawk away unless hes got a gun on draw and I have one chance to nail the sucker.
Just have 2 ready in case you miss I guess :D

Do you practice this on people very often? Is this a hobby or a profession?:D

People survive gunshot wounds to the head, how is your thrown tomahawk so effective? Even if you are able to get a perfect hit (highly unlikely), there is no guarantee it will instantly incapacitate the person. Hell, some handgun bullets have not penetrated the skull. At what speed is your tomahawk traveling? You also assume the perp either won't hear you sneak up on him, or that he will stand still so you can hit him in the head.

You are placing far too much faith in your equipment and/or abilities. Throwing a hawk in a real life and death situation is complete foolishness IMO. Works great in Hollywood, but nowhere else.

El Cid, you are right. I dont have faith in my throwing abilities bc i have never thrown much at all.. However, I am going to my glock in that case. But I would think the hawk in hand would do far more damage than throwing it.
