Some of you may have already discovered how much easier it is to carry a Leatherman in a pistol magazine holder . . . I just did!! This makes it SOOOOOO much better! (This model is a De Santis ($24), heavy black leather with a kydex pressure insert to keep the mag from moving . . . also keeps my Wave from moving or falling out. It has a heavy metal clip on the back for easy on/off) You guys may also know that you can file off the oddball pointed lanyard loop to a more rounded one and still have room to drill a nifty 1/8th inch hole that you can ACTUALLY get a split ring through!! I now LOVE to carry my leatherman! Oh Yeah, ANY model will fit in this rig due to the kydex spring!

Yeah....sure....Gotta clear that flap 'n all. Never know how stress will interfere with your reflexes when you need to PLIER some bad guy.....

I find the original riveted Leatherman belt pouch quite adequate, as do millions of satisfied customers. For someone to naively state that some unique and contrived alternative method of a common practice is "THE BEST WAY" is an insult. Maybe good for some; good in certain situations, good as an alternative to a certain other unique method, but THE BEST WAY, really? Who's tender here? relic

Maw! Get the shotgun! The Relics and Burnses are a fixin' to feud!

My knives do not make me a primitive caveman. However, carrying rocks like the ones you have inside your skull...now that would make me primitive.

Damn, let me tell you, I certainly was insulted

!!! And here I was with my wave in its cordura nylon velcro pouch just plain dumbfounded how anyone could dare suggest that there might be a better way to carry it!

You could put nacho cheese sauce on it...

Nice idea Jason. I love learning new ways to carry my multi-tools and knives. Nice of you to put a pic here, too. I think if it is a secure system, it might just be a better mousetrap.

I don't learn anything from reading insults, BTW...at least Jason took the time to post.

This is a hoot. I'm entertained.

RE: An arogant post, countered by calm and reasoned alternatives, is followed by righteous indignation.

A little salsa with the cheese sauce please.
Let's rumble!

Do you always entertain yourself this way?
At the expense of others?
Probably.
The rumble is just gas anyway.

At the expense of others? Brian - Please explain some other's expense? Where's the expense?

abner and Stompy seem to catch a little humor in this thread. I find no harm in making an "off the wall" comment to a totally frivolous theme.

To those who would find this repartee' offensive, you should be attending to more serious issues, not a knife forum.

Jason...

Best Way ???

Naa the best way is in one of my horizontal rigs..

Anyway,,Excellent I like it..
Always like seeing how other people carry their toys..

Does this Leatherman come with a leather or nylon pouch? If it is a velcroed nylon pouch, I can definitely see how the mag pouch would be a HUGH upgrade. I had the sound of rrrrrrripping velcro! In any case, this certainly looks a heckuva lot better than any leather or nylon Leatherman sheath that I've seen, unless it was one that Gary Graley did. Good job Jason.

relic,

The one thing that I like to get from this forum is information on new and interesting things. I see nothing wrong with Jason posting his idea, I happen to think it a great one. I would have never thought to do that had he not posted it. I also think that you were out of line for ridiculing him about it, it was uncalled for. Did you stop to think that maybe it is the best way for him and he felt like sharing? Probably not.
Not everyone on this forum will agree with anothers idea or personal choice in carry options or knives, or whatever.......
To assume that Jason's idea is the be-all, end-all to carrying a Wave shows a total lack of respect for the ideas of others.

Looks like a good idea that I'd like to try. Is there more then one model - as in 45 vs double stack 9 mm.

Yeah, neat idea. What caliber pouch and do they come in tan?
Reic sounds like one of the flamers from England that have beeen hitting so many of the forums. Ignore him. He will eventually die from lack of interest.

I just love these trolls who don't post their names or where they are from and hide behind the anonymity of their computer screens and try to impress us with their abilities to cut others down.....sounds more like BS to me.

Welcome to the forums.

Good idea!
I´ll try that.

Relic: That kind of negative sarkasm is pure poison to a forum like this, one must be able to share ones thoughts without riscing ridicule from guys like you.

It works great!

I have a mag pouch for a double column 9 mm magazine that I have been carrying my Wave in for about 8 months. Mine has a paddle back instead of a belt clip.

Also use an open top kydex Blade-Tech rig with the tek-loc back that holds the tool a little more securely, but isn't quite as dressy.
