How To Best way to clean ivory on a sword?

Just a thought, I've had great results cleaning all sorts of white bone with a "Magic Eraser:. Just dampen it and light rubbing the handle may surprise you. Don't have any ivory to test it on,so at your risk.

Thanks. That would probably take off stain, but I'm afraid it will make it whiter too.

For the sheath-a rifle cleaning rod with a brass brush. Soak the inside with WD 40.
It will be a very messy job.
