Best way to clean & maintain bronze

What is the best way to clean and maintain bronze liners and fittings? Also, any tips on removing small surface scratches from steel?

Bronze can be cleaned with any of the commercial brass cleaners like Brasso, Autosol, Flitz etc but will tarnish again unless heavily waxed to keep moisture from getting at it.

Scratches in steel must be sanded or buffed out.

Some types of bronze don't tarnish as much as other metals such as copper. I think it depends on how much copper content is in the mix. Simichrome or Flitz works well and leaves a protective film.
