best way to convex a knife

i want to put a convexed edge on my cold steel recon scout but i need help so whats the best way and whats the best sand paper to use

Start with 100 grit emery paper on a mouse pad. Then go with finer paper,(220, 320 grit), when you get to the shape you want.
To finish sharpen go all the way down to 1000 grit, (some go down to 2000 grit and beyond).
