Best way to cut off back of busse?

Can't see welding on the blade without destroying the heat treat and creating a weak spot. That would definitely cost the warranty. OTOH, it is your knife to do with as you please.

I was going to ask Garth and Crew to round the butt on my Pork Shank but I have learned to leave knives as they are.

A modification will void the warranty if the modification is what leads to the knife failing.

Welding would be a terrible idea as the heat generated from it would severely destroy the heat treat.

Hey man
Why not take up Knife/Blacksmithing up yourself? Kinda part of the way there already.

I guess one mans nightmare is another's wet dream.:foot:

That is one of the dynamics of my NMSFNO I love the most, if I were to wake up and find that had happened (or I even dreamed it ) I would perhaps flat out have an heart attack right on the spot:eek:

To each his...I did darken my RMD's tan micarta handle with a Mahogany furniture wax repair stick. Once it was well rubbed in, it was not "waxy feeling" - and looks great against the sage blade.

Will post photos when I reach that techno. level...Cheers.
