Best way to cut slots in Kydex

I am about to plunge head first into sheath and holster making and I am curious what is the best way to cut slots neatly into the Kydex?

Neatest is to use a mill or a drill press with a cross slide vise. I only cut slots for clips but I use a steel template and a small trim router with a 1/8" flush trim bit.

I drill a couple of holes and use a dremel cutoff wheel to cut the piece in between. I then clean the area up with a small flat file.
