Best way to dispose of bleach/gun blue?

Blued an axe head and then put it in some bleach, wondering what's the best way to get rid of the leftover liquid

Dilute it with water and pour down the drain. Flush with running water for a minute and it is gone. Don't do this if you have a septic system, as it may kill the digerster bacteria.

OR

Dig a hole in the back yard and pour it in ( post hole diggers work great). Run a hose in the hole to fill with water, and after it all soaks in, fill with the dirt again.
