To post all of them or sell one or two people exclusively?
I have about 36 to 40 Busse (big and small, most are new..) that I want to sell. Probably keep some Busse to use.

Thanks gents.

it's probably safe to say that you'll get more money selling to multiple people but it will take longer
or less money from one person provided you find someone with the cashish for 40 blades in one shot

up to you on time- but since I have a better shot at the first option than the second- I vote door #1!

I would try the whole collection at first. If you don't get any buyers it would be simple to part it out. That would be my plan if I ever decide to sell my collection. Good luck!

Selling as a lot means that you're narrowing your list of potential buyers to like 2 or 3 people. Most don't have that type of cash to even consider buying 40 busse blades in one shot.

You'll probably end up with more money and better luck selling them one at a time. For instance someone might be looking for an NMSFNO and an ASH but might not want to buy a FBM to get the other two.

It's more of a PITA but that's what I'd do anyways.

Since it appears the newest scheduled release has been cancelled, post up a list of what knives you have on the "Busse / Swamprat / Scrapyard Knives For Sale" in the exchange section and you'll probably get a bunch of people who have money they were going to use on the release buying them up.

Good Luck!!!

And just like that, this thread turned into a basic 8 thread too. :D

This! Lol. But like everyone's said, better to just list them all and maybe just sell everything that doesn't sell together to someone to buy as a bundle. Any other way your going to take a huge loss. No one is going to pay you for the collection what you could get for single blades. My .02

Depends on what he's holding... I might. ;)

List five at a time on the various forums, Bladeforums, AR15, Smith-Wesson, 1911, or Armslist. Good luck!

Thanks for all the advices.
I'm in the process of compiling the list and will post when I have the info on prices and such.

There have been several good size collections posted in the last few years. No one ever publicly posted "I'll take it", AFAIK. They may have sold behind the scenes, who knows. How many members here do you think are able to pony up $12,000 - 20,000+ cash for a large collection?

The trick is to find the right market price for each knife. Priced too low, and your collection will blow out the door, leaving money on the table. Too high, and the market ignores your offerings. Price research is a real PITA in the last five years or more, since many people stopped leaving prices in the sales thread ( don't get me started). eBay may be helpful in that regard. I have reached out to a few friendly dealer types for price advice on some of my sales, but that is not feasible in your case.

Good pics will help your sale; there have been some large sales attemped based on just a list of knives, and everyone askes for pics anyway.

Good Luck!
