Best way to sell my Busse collection...

^^Absolutely^^...the field of players for a complete collection is limited.
Breaking it down to one's & pairs will appeal to more buyers & will put more cash in your pocket.:D
JMO!

Ebay is a horrible place for price advice in my opinion. Theres a certain person who has a ton of a knives about 1/3 to 1/4 percent overpriced. Check out knifehunters web site for a general reference.

There have been several good size collections posted in the last few years. No one ever publicly posted "I'll take it", AFAIK. They may have sold behind the scenes, who knows. How many members here do you think are able to pony up $12,000 - 20,000+ cash for a large collection?

The trick is to find the right market price for each knife. Priced too low, and your collection will blow out the door, leaving money on the table. Too high, and the market ignores your offerings. Price research is a real PITA in the last five years or more, since many people stopped leaving prices in the sales thread ( don't get me started). eBay may be helpful in that regard. I have reached out to a few friendly dealer types for price advice on some of my sales, but that is not feasible in your case.

Good pics will help your sale; there have been some large sales attemped based on just a list of knives, and everyone askes for pics anyway.

Good Luck!

This!

And this!

There are a few who could buy the lot and there are many that could buy one, two, or three. If you are in a hurry and need the cash fast sell them as a lot but you will not get top dollar. If you have the time, do the research and sell them individually or in small lots and you will get a better return.

Yes, but does LK sell them? Not being flip here, I really don't go there much, and only to look up completed sales.

Ya that's kinda what i meant, nothing of his moves fast. At all. Same old debate though... "if someones willing to pay it" lol. Good luck and hope i get a chance at a few.

Sometimes the extra price is worth not waiting a couple months for a custom shop job, if someone has the out of production model you've been dying to get. :)

I'm taking advice from an esteemed member in this forum and will break my little collection into small, medium, large, customs,....I'll post with pics when I have all the pertinent info.
Thanks, guys. You guys are big help.

Everyone gave great advice, I think you are on a great track.
Break it up into the 3 categories.

By chance do you have any in the extra small category ? say a HACK bear cub ?

I would personally be very interested please :)

Thank you.
